About the Candles
What makes your candles different from other herbal candles?
Most herbal candles use fragrance oils or essential oils to create scent. We don't. We infuse actual organic herbs directly into pure beeswax—and we infuse each herb separately before blending. This takes significantly longer but produces a more authentic, nuanced result where you can distinguish each herb's contribution.
Do your candles have a strong scent?
Our candles have a subtle, authentic botanical scent—not the overpowering throw of synthetic fragrance oils. You'll notice the herbs when you're near the candle, especially while it's burning, but they won't overwhelm a room. If you're used to heavily fragranced candles, ours will seem more delicate. That's intentional.
Why beeswax instead of soy or coconut?
Beeswax burns cleaner and longer than soy, releases negative ions that purify the air, and has a natural honey scent that beautifully complements our herbal infusions. It's also a natural byproduct of honey production, making it sustainable when sourced responsibly.
Are your candles vegan?
No. Beeswax is an animal product. We chose it because we believe it's the best material for our candles, and we source from apiaries that practice ethical beekeeping. If you're looking for vegan candles, ours aren't the right fit.
What's with the herbs floating in the candle?
That's how you know they're real! We strain most herb material during infusion, but some botanical matter remains suspended in the wax. It's beautiful and totally safe—just make sure the wick is trimmed and centered to avoid any herbs catching flame.
How long do your candles burn?
Burn times vary by size:
- 32 oz jar: approximately 100-120 hours
- 16 oz jar: approximately 50-60 hours
- 8 oz tin: approximately 35-40 hours
- Pillar candles: varies by size, generally 6-8 hours per ounce
- Wax melts: 8-10 hours per melt
Do I need to do anything special to burn them?
Standard candle safety applies: trim the wick to ¼ inch before each burn, don't burn for more than 4 hours at a time, keep away from drafts, and never leave unattended. For pillars, burn until the melt pool reaches the edges to prevent tunneling.
About Ingredients
Where do you source your herbs?
All our herbs are certified organic. We source primarily from domestic suppliers when possible and maintain relationships with farms we trust. We never use herbs treated with pesticides or irradiation.
Do you use essential oils?
No. We use whole-herb infusion exclusively. Essential oils are highly concentrated extracts that don't capture the full complexity of a plant. Our slow infusion process preserves a broader range of plant compounds.
Do you use fragrance oils?
Never. All scent comes from real botanical infusion. If you're looking for strong, synthetic fragrance throw, our candles aren't for you.
Are your candles safe for people with allergies?
Our candles contain real plant material. If you have allergies to specific herbs, check the ingredient list before purchasing. Common allergens like chamomile (ragweed family) are present in some blends. When in doubt, patch test by holding an unlit candle near your skin, or contact us with specific concerns.
Are your candles safe around pets?
While beeswax burns clean, some herbs can be irritating to pets (especially cats). Burn in well-ventilated areas and keep candles where pets can't knock them over. If you have concerns about specific herbs and your pets, consult your veterinarian.

Are these candles for witches?
They can be! Our candles work beautifully for magical practitioners who want quality ritual tools. But they're equally for Christians, skeptics, meditation practitioners, or anyone who appreciates intentional, well-made products.
Do the candles actually work magically?
We believe in the power of ritual and intention—the psychological benefit of pausing, focusing, and setting purpose. We don't make supernatural claims. Whether that's "magic" depends on your definition.
I'm Christian. Are these candles appropriate for me?
Absolutely. Christians have used candles in prayer and devotion for centuries. Many of our candles come with both an incantation (for magical practitioners) and a prayer (for Christian users). The herbs themselves are simply plants—what makes them sacred is the intention you bring.
What if I don't believe in any of this?
That's fine! You can enjoy our candles purely for their quality, craftsmanship, and subtle botanical scent. No belief required.
Ordering & Shipping
How long does shipping take?
Since all candles are made to order, please allow 5-7 business days for production before shipping. Once shipped, delivery typically takes 3-7 business days depending on your location.
Do you ship internationally?
Not currently. We ship within the continental United States only. International shipping may be available in the future.
Can I request a custom blend?
We love custom orders! Contact us with your idea—specific herbs, intentions, or purposes—and we'll let you know if we can accommodate it. Custom orders require a minimum quantity and additional lead time.
What's your return policy?
Due to the handmade, made-to-order nature of our products, we don't accept returns for buyer's remorse. If your candle arrives damaged or defective, contact us within 7 days with photos and we'll make it right.
